Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today asked the ruling BJP not to turn India into a victim of its system in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. He said vaccines must be provided free of cost to citizens and that this needn t be a matter of discussion anymore.
In a sharp tweet of three terse Hindi lines posted today, the Wayanad MP said: Enough of discussion. Citizens must get vaccines free of cost, end of matter. Don t turn India into a victim of the BJP s system.
Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan in a Facebook post today said the government does not give vaccines directly to anyone and said that the Centre getting the vaccine cheaper than the states is "patently false".

Shiv Sena MP Arvind Sawant has urged PM Narendra Modi to order an inquiry into miserable failure in supply of oxygen on time. He demanded that why the Minister of Railways Piyush Goyal should not be held responsible for this disservice resulting in the loss of lives of the people for want of oxygen. In another letter, Sawant urged Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan to provide 50,000 Remdesivir vials to the state.
