One killed in Alton shooting

ALTON One man is dead following an early morning shooting Sunday in Alton.
According to Alton Police Chief Marcos Pulido, at about 2:31 a.m. Sunday Alton Police began receiving reports of a large fight in the 200 block of East Elm St.
As officers began to arrive in the area, gun shots were heard. A short time later, it was determined that two male subjects had been shot, Pulido said.
One of the subjects, a 22-year-old man, has died from his injuries, Pulido said. A second man suffered what Pulido described as a non-life-threatening gunshot injury.

ALTON, Ill. A Springfield, Missouri, man was charged Wednesday with the murder of an Alton man.

According to the press release, multiple counts of murder can represent different theories authorities have for how the person was killed.
On Saturday February 13, Alton police said they received a call just after noon in the area of E. 11th St. near Alby Street.
