Demarcus Joiner is currently a senior majoring in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Pre-Law from Roanoke, AL. He currently serves as the 109th Student Government Association (SGA) President of The University of Alabama. With a passion for advocacy and service, Demarcus has previously served as an SGA Senator for the College of Engineering and Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Dr. Hilary N. Green is an associate professor of history in the Department of Gender and Race studies at the University of Alabama. She has taught at UA since fall of 2014 and has become very respected amongst students and faculty. As part of her research leave, she is the 2020-2021 Vann Professor of Ethics in Society at Davidson College.
