The Greenup County Health Department reported five more cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, a day after announcing nine additional cases over a four-day span (Saturday through Tuesday).

The Ashland-Boyd County Health Department announced 20 more cases of COVID-19 in Fridayâs release, which includes new cases from Tuesday-Friday.
A 62-year-old female is in hospital isolation. Eleven males, ranging from ages 3 to 50, and eight females, ages 11 to 46, also tested positive.
There have been 4,925 confirmed cases in Boyd County, including 3,159 recoveries and 75 COVID-positive deaths.
The Greenup County Health Department listed two cases on its Friday report. A 47-year-old female and a 10-year-old female have tested positive, pushing the countyâs tally to 3,725 â 3,621 have recovered and 59 Greenup County residents have died after having tested positive for COVID-19.

ASHLAND Ashlandâs craft beer festival will return this year, after being canceled last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The sixth annual Firkin Fest will be from 2 to 6 p.m. June 19 in downtown Ashland, said Elizabeth Hensley, director of strategic communication for Ashland in Motion, noting the crowd will be intentionally minimized. Attendees will have the chance to sample 100 craft beers.
âWeâre trying to keep (attendance) right below 1,000,â she said. Previous years have attracted as many as 1,500. âI think we will sell out.â
