For the first time since the beginning of the month, there are fewer than 100 active coronavirus cases in the region.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is reporting five positive tests for the virus today.
Two of them are from the Roseview long-term care home.
It brings to 89 the number of active COVID-19 cases in the district.
There are no patients with the virus at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

THUNDER BAY Thunder Bay has received a shipment of COVID-19 vaccine very early in the two-week window announced by the provincial government.
The Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre has announced that on Tuesday morning, a dose of the Pfizer vaccine will be administered for the first time to a resident of Northwestern Ontario.
Hospital officials call it a historic milestone and turning point in the pandemic.
Media representatives are being invited to cover the event.

Ontario is tightening public health restrictions in five regions as hospitals say they are inundated with COVID-19 patients.
Those regions include Hamilton, which will move to the grey or lockdown level, joining Peel Region, Toronto and Windsor-Essex County, Premier Doug Ford s government said late Friday afternoon.
Ontario is reporting 2,357 new cases of COVID-19 and 27 new deaths on Saturday.
