Members of the Williamson County Sheriffâs Office (WCSO) Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) and the Spring Hill Police Department arrested a local suspended elementary school teacher Friday.
According to a news release issued by the sheriffâs office, Alfred Amore, a teacher at Bethesda Elementary School, was arrested and charged with sexual exploitation of a minor, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported without incident and booked into the Maury County Jail.
Amoreâs sexual exploitation of a minor charge came after he was found to be in possession of images of apparent child sexual abuse material on his electronic devices, according to the sheriffâs office. The victims depicted in the images appear to be toddlers.Â

IDAHO FALLS A Blackfoot man is facing a federal felony charge for enticing a minor over the internet.
Andrew Ray Young, 33, received the federal indictment for felony coercion and enticement on April 14. While charging documents do not provide specific details on the charges, they likely stem from an alleged relationship Young had with a 14-year-old girl over Snapchat.
Initially, Young was charged in Bonneville County with five felony counts of possession of sexually exploitive material of a child and felony delivery of a controlled substance. With the federal grand jury indictment, prosecutors dropped the local charges.
CHELTENHAM â A Cheltenham man is facing child pornography charges after authorities allegedly discovered hundreds of images of such content on his cell phone.
Harley R. Strauss, 46, of the unit block of South Easton Road, was arraigned before District Court Judge Elizabeth McHugh Casey on 100 counts of possessing child pornography and 100 counts of criminal use of a communication facility in connection with alleged incidents that occurred between March and April.
Strauss was released on $20,000 unsecured bail to await his preliminary hearing on the charges on May 13 before District Court Judge Christopher J. Cerski.

Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele and Cheltenham Township Police Chief John Frye announced the arrest of Strauss on Friday.
