CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas A former Incarnate Word Academy teacher is in federal prison for the next 36 months after admitting he sent obscene photos and text messages to who he thought was a 14-year-old girl in Corpus Christi.
28-year-old Lazaro Benito Rocha plead guilty for this crime in October 2020. Back in May 2019, he was arrested by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force who teamed up with other organizations for an online solicitation operation. Previously released on bond, Rocha was taken into custody following the sentencing.
During the court hearing, it was revealed that he was the one who sent the text messages and photos and also took photos of himself while he was inside his classroom.

TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - A Tyler man who was found to have more than 3,500 images of child pornography on his phone agreed to a 10-year prison sentence Friday.
James Edward Clement, 38, pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography in Judge Reeve Jackson’s 114th Judicial District courtroom as part of a plea agreement. The plea agreement called for him to serve a 10-year prison sentence.
Clement was arrested on the charge on July 9, 2020.
Northport Man Charged With Distribution of Child Pornography
A 29-year-old Northport man has been arrested and charged with the distribution of child pornography, police representatives said Tuesday afternoon.
Lt. Darren Beams, the commander of the West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force, said agents from his unit, the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the 24th Judicial Circuit District Attorney s Office executed a search warrant early Tuesday morning at a home on 18th Avenue in Northport.
Inside, officers found evidence enough to charged Jonathan Hinard Hill, 29, with the dissemination of obscene matter containing a visual depiction of a child younger than 17.
