UPPER HANOVER â An Upper Hanover man who is a police officer with the Hilltown Township Police Department in Bucks County found himself on the other side of the law, accused of possessing child pornography.
Matthew Reiss, 47, of the 1000 block of Ziegler Road in the Palm section of Upper Hanover, was arraigned on Tuesday before District Court Judge Albert J. Augustine on ten felony counts of possessing child pornography in connection with alleged incidents that occurred at his home between April and May.
Augustine set bail at $75,000 cash, which Reiss posted and he was released to await a June 7 preliminary hearing on the charges before District Court Judge Maureen Coggins.

ZIONSVILLE, Ind. (WISH) A Zionsville Fire Department engineer was arrested Tuesday morning on charges of child exploitation and the possession of child pornography.
Lebanon Police Department served search warrants at the home of Daniel Stevens, 47. His home is about a mile northeast of Whitestown in Boone County.
Lebanon police said in a news release that “a cyber tip from The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children found a Twitter account was uploading child pornography using their social media platform.”
Lebanon police were joined in serving the search warrants by Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department, Boone County Sheriff’s Office, Zionsville Police Department, and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the release said.

A Zionsville firefighter was arrested Tuesday morning after Twitter notified authorities someone was using the social media platform to upload child porn, according to Lebanon police.
Daniel Stevens, 47, of Whitestown, was arrested on a preliminary charge of child exploitation; possession of child pornography, the Lebanon Police Department said in a release.
About 8:45 a.m., authorities served search warrants at a residence in Whitestown and the Zionsville Fire Department Station 91 in connection to the incident. Stevens is a firefighter with the department, police said.
