FOURTEEN people were arrested as part of a joint Merseyside Police and North Wales investigation into County Lines drug dealing. The activity was part of ongoing Project Medusa, an operation led by Merseyside Police and set up to tackle County Lines drug dealing and child criminal exploitation into Bangor and Anglesey. Two children and vulnerable adults were safeguarded as part of the operation. Officers from both forces were deployed to areas of North Wales as well as transport hubs, such as Lime Street Station in Merseyside to disrupt criminal activity and safeguard young and vulnerable people exploited by criminal gangs.

Officers from Merseyside and North Wales Police joined forces to tackle County Lines drug dealing and child criminal exploitation.
A man swallowed a bag of what is thought to have been heroin as he fled officers who surprised him at a train station. The 23-year-old tried to escape after seeing police when he approached Green Lane station in Birkenhead.
He was caught and questioned on suspicion of obstructing an officer.

Around 5.35pm, it was reported that the victim, a man in his 40s, was attacked by a group of males as he cycled into the Park via Hoylake Road. His pedal bike was also stolen. Officers attended the scene, and after a short pursuit into Flaybrick Cemetery a 15-year-old male from Bidston was arrested on suspicion of assault. The victim s bike was also recovered. The suspect was taken to a police station for questioning and has been released under investigation.
