Subscriber only A SNAKE catcher with good intentions has found himself in strife after police and a park ranger came to investigate. Dylan Wood, a professional snake catcher from the Scenic Rim, was with his children near Mount Glorious when he spotted a species of blind snake on the road. He stopped and was found holding the snake when the park ranger and a police officer came across him and his children. Wood appeared at Ipswich Magistrates Court on Monday charged with three offences under the Nature Conservation Act. Dylan Christopher Wood, 28, from Harrisville, pleaded guilty on Monday to taking a protected animal (Typhlopidae) at Mount Glorious (Laceys Creek) in the Caboolture region on January 30; and two counts of keeping a protected animal (Morelia spilota) when not authorised on February 2 at Harrisville.
Warwick Senior Constable Jeremy Lambert said police were investigating a serious break-in at Top Two Motorcycles.
According to Snr Constable Lambert, three motorcycles were stolen as offenders smashed the glass entry of the Betta Place business at about 4.30am this morning.
An unregistered Honda red and white motorcycle and two Yamaha blue and white motorcycles were stolen.
Snr Constable Lambert police were investigating CCTV footage for the identity of the offenders.
Two cars were also stolen from a Tathra St address from the hours of 10pm to 4.30am.
Snr Constable asked anyone with information about the missing Grey Mazda 3 with the registration 643 VYP or a white Toyota Camry with the registration 254 JKU to contact police.

Subscriber only A Torquay man and a 15-year-old Eli Waters teen have been arrested after a stolen car was allegedly driven into a service station at Boonah on Saturday morning. Just after 1am, police will allege two people attended a Walter Street petrol station in an Isuzu MU-X reported stolen from Warwick and rammed the front doors, gaining entry inside. The pair attempted to steal cigarettes however were unsuccessful and re-entered the vehicle before driving away. At 2.20am, police observed the stolen car allegedly being dangerous along Salisbury Road and successfully deployed a tyre deflation device on old Toowoomba Road.

A 15-YEAR-OLD boy was among two people arrested over the alleged ram raid of a Boonah service station early Saturday morning.
It is understood two males, believed to be traveling in a stolen vehicle, intentionally drove into the Walter St site just after 1am.
Police alleged the pair gained entry by ramming the front doors, using an Isuzu MU-X which had been reported stolen from Warwick.
The pair allegedly attempted to steal cigarettes, however, were unsuccessful.
It is understood the pair fled the scene in the same vehicle following their failed attempt.
The two, however, were reportedly observed by police driving dangerously along Salisbury Rd about 2.20am - almost an hour later.
