Jammu, April 29 : A Covid-19 triage facility is being established in Jammu in the Chest Disease Hospital which shall act as the first contact point for screening any Covid patient intending to get admitted to GMC Jammu and Associated Hospitals and to other dedicated Covid hospitals under the Directorate of Health Services.

JAMMU, Apr 28: As the hospitals in both the capitals of Jammu and Kashmir are already facing an immense load due to routine admissions of the COVID-19 positive patients from all over the Union Territory, the Directorate of Health Services (DHS) Kashmir and Jammu today directed the hospitals in peripheries to refrain from referring patients to tertiary care hospitals.
While issuing the order in this connection, DHS Jammu Dr Renu Sharma has impressed upon all Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) and Medical Superintendents to ensure that there are no unnecessary referrals from districts to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu which is already overburdened with the load of COVID patients.

COVID: Goa govt to provide free vaccine to 18-45 age group.
The Goa government will inoculate those between the ages of 18 to 45 against coronavirus free of cost, it announced today.
The state will be procuring five lakh doses of Covishield vaccine initially, it said.
State Additional Secretary (Health) Vikas Gaunekar informed the Directorate of Health Services about the decision in a letter.
The Union government earlier this week opened the COVID-19 vaccination drive for the entire adult population in the country and allowed states to purchase vaccines on their own. I am pleased to convey Government approval to provide COVID vaccine doses to all population in the age group 18-45 through the state government free of cost, Gaunekar said in the letter.
