Dying Light 2 Release Date Revealed, New Gameplay Trailer Launched

Effective Marketing For Cyberpunk 2077 Only Hurt It More

Effective Marketing For Cyberpunk 2077 Only Hurt It More Between a rocky release and deceptive review practices, the last thing Cyberpunk 2077 needed was its name plastered all over the internet and beyond. The only people that don’t know about Cyberpunk 2077 at this point live under a rock, and I seriously mean that. They must lack an internet connection or at the very least are locked away from society because anyone who has ventured outside or so much as looked at any screen within the last month or so should know what this game is. It’s been incredibly unavoidable, and this is because developer CD Projekt Red has spent a lot of money on two things: the game’s development and the game’s marketing campaign.

The Rise and Fall of CD Projekt RED - The Cyberpunk Blunder

I’m not sure many people outside of the PC community could tell you what The Witcher was 10 years ago. And I’d bet that even fewer people knew who CD Projekt RED was. Such is usually the case for even very good PC developers, as they work to create and refine a property or identity that may not pay off until they reach the mainstream. But CD Projekt RED managed to do it. After a rough PC release of the first Witcher installment, they went back to that RPG fantasy world with The Witcher 2, earning a little more attention and recognition. Then came the ascent, as they struck gold, both figuratively and literally, with

Reaction: How Does It Keep Going Wrong for Big Game Launches?

Reaction: How Does It Keep Going Wrong for Big Game Launches? Well. This is a fine mess CD Projekt RED has found itself in over Cyberpunk 2077. We went from enormous levels of hype to outright damage control in just over a week. After that initial announcement 8 years ago and many delays, the long-awaited RPG finally arrived on 10th December but, put bluntly, the PS4 version has been shambolic to the Fallout 76th degree. We’ve seen bad launches before but never has Sony felt the need to actively intervene, outright delisting it from PSN and setting up a special system to offer refunds. Considering it barely works on base PS4s, running as low as 15 frames-per-second in some instances, it isn’t hard to see why. PlayStation fans deserved so much better.

When was Cyberpunk 2077 first teased? - GameRevolution

When was Cyberpunk 2077 first teased? It’s been a long time since CD Projekt Red first teased Cyberpunk 2077. Given the buggy, incomplete condition the game was released in, fans are concerned at how long the game had been in development. Sure, the quests are great, but it doesn’t seem like much time could have been spent on the AI and bug-testing, and customization is entirely missing. Well, those who have seen the state of the game firsthand will be surprised to find out when Cyberpunk 2077 was first announced. When was The first teaser for Cyberpunk 2077 dropped during the CD Projekt RED Group Summer Conference on May 30, 2012. The final title hadn’t been revealed at this point, and it was just described as “a new triple-A game based on the cult classic Cyberpunk pen & paper RPG system.” Pre-production started around this time, with around 50 people being assigned to establish the foundation for the game.
