A LâErable man was killed in a single vehicle accident June 4.
Iroquois County Sheriffâs Police investigated the accident at 4:54 p.m. June 4 on County Road 1500 E near 2630 N.
According to police reports, a 2014 Dodge Ram driven by Donald R. Heisner, 48, LâErable, was traveling north on County Road 1500 E when for unknown reasons his vehicle left the road.
The vehicle entered the east side ditch where he continued traveling north for approximately 275 feet striking two trees along the way. The vehicle then became airborne for a short time before striking a final tree and coming to rest near 2530 N.

BUCKLEY, Ill. - A southern Illinois man’s body was found inside a tanker filled with gas after two truck drivers noticed the fuel wasn’t flowing smoothly during unloading, police said.
The drivers were trying to unload the tanker Friday at a gas transfer hub in Iroquois County when they found the body after opening it to determine why the fuel wasn’t flowing steadily, Coroner Bill Cheatum said.
WATSEKA â A Champaign firefighter and his wife were killed in a two-vehicle crash early Saturday in Iroquois County.
The Champaign Fire Department announced the death of Dominic Smith, 55, of Woodland and his wife, Kimberly, 60, on its Facebook page and via Twitter late Saturday afternoon.
A release from the Iroquois County Sheriffâs Office said the accident took place at a rural intersection about 5 miles southwest of Watseka and about 5 miles due west of Woodland, where the couple lived. An exact time of the crash was not given.
Also injured were the driver and passenger of the car that collided with the Smithsâ vehicle.
