A phony armed robber is under arrest after his intended victims turned the tables on him. The suspect reportedly robbed a man in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Cinnamon Creek Drive early Tuesday morning. He then hopped a fence and tried to commit a home invasion robbery at the Spice Creek Apartments next door. But his victims noticed the gun he was using was a toy. They banged him over the head with a frying pan and held him until the police arrived. His name hasn t been released.

A man’s alleged attempt to rob two people at a Northwest Side apartment with toy gun was foiled with a frying pan early Tuesday, police said.
Ros Robert Villarreal, 21, is charged with robbery and burglary of a habitation with intent to commit a felony. His bail totals $200,000.
San Antonio police were called after Villarreal reportedly robbed a 25-year-old man at gunpoint at about 12:41 a.m. in the 8700 block of Cinnamon Creek Drive, a report said.
After taking the man’s wallet and cellphone, Villarreal jumped a fence and ran to the Spice Creek apartments, 8802 Cinnamon Creek Drive, police said.
