A phony armed robber is under arrest after his intended victims turned the tables on him. The suspect reportedly robbed a man in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Cinnamon Creek Drive early Tuesday morning. He then hopped a fence and tried to commit a home invasion robbery at the Spice Creek Apartments next door. But his victims noticed the gun he was using was a toy. They banged him over the head with a frying pan and held him until the police arrived. His name hasn t been released.

A man has been arrested in connection with a Northwest Side robbery on Tuesday, San Antonio police said.
Ross Robert Villarreal, 21, was identified as the suspect in the robbery that happened 8700 block of Cinnamon Creek, Tuesday morning.

According to records, Villareal is facing two counts of felony robbery in the first degree.

A man is facing robbery charges and possibly nursing a headache after a run-in with some would-be victims at an apartment in the Medical Center area early Tuesday morning.
San Antonio police say the victims used a frying pan to hit the man in the head after he barged into their apartment in the middle of the night and tried to rob them at gunpoint.
