FarmingBiogas.ca is a new go-to resource for farmers interested in learning more about agricultural biogas. Developed by the Canadian Biogas Association (CBA), the website is part of an educational campaign to help farmers explore biogas production as an opportunity for their farm. Pixabay
“We field a lot of questions from farmers who want to know more about the feasibility of adding a biogas plant to their operation. Our goal with this campaign is to make farm-specific information more accessible,” says Jennifer Green, Executive Director of the CBA. “We’re here to help connect farms with the resources and expertise they need to get started with biogas.”

The 2023 target is part of its company carbon neutral goal for 2030. The prospective PPAs aim to enable the development of new renewable energy projects across Europe, with Schneider Electric supporting Velux in the procurement process as a full-service buyer s advisor. The Velux Group s primary motivation is to achieve its RE 100 target and bring new renewable energy onto the grid.
The prospective PPAs aim to represent a mix of clean technologies, with Velux looking to secure a long-term commitment to purchase power at a fixed price. The group is seeking to pursue new non-subsidised renewable energy projects in EU countries, ensuring clean energy is added to the grid and replacing ‘brown’ power produced from fossil fuels.

The RT22 includes features that address the common challenges faced when deploying high-powered chargers, most notably its built-in reactive power control and compliance to class B EMC. The RT22 is also ‘hot-pluggable’, allowing operators to conveniently and safely remove and install modules and avoid accidents during maintenance.
Each RT22 EV charger module is rated at 50kW and strategically sized to meet the defined power classes of DC Electric Vehicle chargers. For HPC manufacturers to create a 350kW high-powered charger, they can simply connect seven (7) RT22 modules in parallel, within the power enclosure.
At an efficiency of greater than 96 per cent, and a wide output voltage range between 50VDC to 1000VDC, the RT22 caters to battery voltages of all EVs currently available, including electric buses (around 700VDC or higher), as well as newer passenger EVs such as the Taycan from Porsche.
President Joe Biden s plans to re-enter the United States into the Paris Agreement have been welcomed by American clean energy trade associations and others in expectation of an upsurge in clean energy investment and jobs.
The news has been welcomed by the US Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) and the Business Network for Offshore Wind, among others.
SEIA backed the agreement when it was signed in 2016 and continues to support this agreement and other global efforts to combat climate change.
“This is an exciting day for the United States, and we welcome and congratulate President Biden and Vice President Harris” said Abigail Ross Hopper, president and CEO of SEIA. “Today is also marked with feelings of resolve and a sense of gravity for the work ahead. The climate crisis is a threat to everyone on this planet, and the solar industry stands ready to help America meet its commitments in the Paris Agreement. Many state
Lightsource bp, through its partnership with global developer of PV projects RIC Energy, has acquired a 1.06 gigawatt (GW) project portfolio distributed across Spain.
The two companies will work together to develop the 14 sites across Madrid, Andalucía, and Castilla y León. The first projects are expected to reach ‘ready to build’ status by the end of 2021, with the installations expected to enter operation in stages from 2022 to 2025. Lightsource bp will work to bring the project portfolio to financial close and secure the construction contract with an EPC company.
Lightsource bp has already started approaching renewable energy buyers to propose and negotiate Power Purchase Agreements across Europe (cross-border PPA), for timeframes of up to 10 years.
