On Tuesday, the Warren County Board of Commissioners appointed Duncan to be executive director of the Warren County Economic Development Commission. She was recommended by County Manager Vincent Jones. Duncan has served in the position on an interim basis for the past seven months.
A 2004 graduate of Warren County High School, Duncan earned a bachelorâs degree in English (secondary education) from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a master of public administration degree (public and nonprofit management) from New York University.
After a short teaching career, she returned to Warrenton to accept the position of executive director of the Warren County Chamber of Commerce.

President of the Young Professionals Network (YPN), Mr. Stephen Asiedu has admonished New Patriotic Party (NPP) members nursing presidential ambitions to channel their energies into seeing to President Akufo-Addo’s successful second term.
He says aspirants can only leverage on a good performance by President Akufo-Addo in his second term to campaign for additional years for the NPP to run affairs of the country.
Mr. Asiedu’s comments come on the back of recent manoeuvres by some members of the NPP thought to have presidential ambitions to get elected as flagbearers and have initiated moves to secure the endorsement of delegates ahead of time.
