Maryam Nawaz, Usman Dar defend AC Sialkot Sonia Sadaf Pakistan Mon, May 03, 2021 SIALKOT: PM Imran Khan’s aide Usman Dar and PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz have come out in support of Sialkot’s Assistant Commissioner Sonia Sadaf who was admonished severely by Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan a day ago. They have issued statements defending the female officer who faced public humiliation by the Punjab chief minister’s adviser during a visit to a Ramadan bazaar. Awan got offended when some buyers complained about substandard edibles being sold at the market. The video of the harsh exchange went viral on social media in a few hours after which statements were issued in support of Sonia Sadaf.

‘Is this the way to talk?’: Sialkot AC Sonia Sadaf to Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan Pakistan Mon, May 03, 2021 Assistant Commissioner Sialkot Sonia Sadaf has responded to Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, after the latter openly berated the former during a visit to a Ramadan bazaar in the city on Sunday.  The incident took place when the special assistant to the Punjab chief minister was visiting a Ramadan bazaar in the city. Awan was vexed at the assistant commissioner after a few buyers complained of the substandard quality of food being sold at the stalls and the administration s lack of action over the matter.

30,000 youth given technical training Islamabad April 30, 2021 Islamabad : Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Youth Affairs Usman Dar on Thursday said over 30,000 students had been given professional training in conventional and high-tech fields under the Kamyab Jawan s Skills for All programme. During a meeting chaired by Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar, the SAPM said Rs10 billion Skills for All project was meant to revamp the technical and vocational education and training sector in the country. He said 14 components of the project revolved around the establishment of 75 high tech skills centres, National Employment Exchange Tool, business incubation centres, skills up-gradation of teachers, etc. The participants discussed initiatives undertaken under the PM s Kamyab Jawan Programme (PMKJP), through National Vocational & Technical Education Commission (NAVTEC) and Higher Education Commission (HEC).

The PPP chairman said the spread of the virus could have been controlled through a timely lockdown. He expressed condolence to the families of those killed by the coronavirus across the country.
