ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (Unicef) on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for collaboration to develop an adolescence equality index to assess various vulnerabilities and challenges confronted by children aged 10 to 19.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar and Unicef Representative in Pakistan Aida Girma signed the MoU.
Mr Dar said the index would help a great deal in assessing the situation on ground and also play a key role in shaping future policies aimed at well-being of children and youths. “The collaboration between Prime Minister’s Kamyab Jawan Programme and Unicef is significantly important for the development and welfare of young Pakistani population,” he added.

A delegation of National Dialogue Forum comprising students from 15 universities meets SAPM on Youth Affairs Usman Dar
Islamabad, January 26, 2021 (PPI-OT): A delegation of National Dialogue Forum comprising students from 15 universities met SAPM on Youth Affairs Usman Dar here at PM Office, today. The youth led delegation with gender equality included participants from all federating units of the country. Welcoming the delegation, Mr. Dar said that over 60 percent of Pakistan’s population is youth whose participation in the policy making is essential. He further said that for inclusion of the youth in policy making, the present government formed National Youth Council (NYC) for getting valuable input from talented young people.

ISLAMABAD: Adviser to Prime Minister on Accountability and Interior Shahzad Akbar Saturday said that Khawaja Asif, Rana Sanaullah and Shahbaz Sharif had the same method of increasing their assets, saying like his leader, Khawaja Asif also adopted TT method.
Speaking here at a news conference, he said that when Khawaja Asif was asked for proof of Rs2.2 million per month, he said that he was transacting in cash. He claimed that PML-N leader had assets worth 5.1 million in 1983, which witnessed phenomenal growth afterwards. He contended that Khawaja Asif had failed to satisfy the NAB and had no answer to his monthly salary of Rs2.2 million from UAE.

ISLAMABAD: As the opposition continues to protest over the arrest of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Mohammad Asif, the government on Saturday explained that he had been arrested after his failure to cooperate with officials concerned in valid investigations.
Adviser to the Prime Minister on Accountability Mirza Shahzad Akbar said Mr Asif had failed to satisfy the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Speaking at a press conference along with Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar, he said Mr Asif had assets worth Rs5.1 million in 1993 and the PML-N leader had no proof of Rs2.2m monthly income he received from the UAE.
