ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Youth Affairs Muhammad Usman Dar said on Friday that at least 17,000 young entrepreneurs were declared eligible for the provision of soft loans under the Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme (YES) of the Kamyab Jawan Programme (KJP).
Addressing a cheque & certificate-distribution ceremony of the KJP here at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), he said around Rs 15 billion had already been parked in the banks, associated with the programme, for offering loans to successful candidates of the YES.
“Around 10,000 businesses have already been launched with disbursement of around Rs nine billion (out of the total parked amount),” he added. “This is the beginning,” he said, adding the government, in line with the instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan, had set a target to facilitate around 200,000 to 300,000 young people in opening their own businesses across the country.

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Youth Affairs Muhammad Usman Dar said on Wednesday that the Kamyab Jawan Programme (KJP) had been creating massive job opportunities for the youth by offering soft loans and technical trainings in conventional and high-tech trades.
Addressing the KJP’s certificate and loan distribution ceremony at Bahria University, he said there had been a marked upsurge in economic activity across the country as 10,000 new businesses had been launched under KJP. The opening of new businesses had provided direct employability to over 20,000 youth across the country, he added. Likewise, employability rate for the Skill for All programme was also impressive, he said, adding it was 60 per cent in traditional trade courses while 80 per cent in high-tech ones.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Muhammad Usman Dar says ten thousand new businesses have been launched under Kamyab Jawan Programme in the country.
Addressing a certificate and loan distribution ceremony of Kamyab Jawan Programme in Islamabad, he said an amount of eight billion rupees has been disbursed among ten thousand young people under the Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme.
Usman Dar said 170,000 youth are being imparted trainings in traditional and high-tech trades under the ‘Hunarmand Pakistan’ (Skill for All) programme.
He said around 37,000 youth have completed their six-month courses in traditional and high-tech trades under its first phase, while training of another batch of 55,000 youth is underway.
