The first person in the UK, and perhaps one of the oldest person in the world to receive the Pfizer Covid-19 jab, has now been administered the follow-up vaccine at University Hospital in Coventry.
Briton Margaret Keenan, 91, was given the ‘booster jab three weeks after she received her first jab on December 8.

A grandmother who became the first person in the world to receive the Pfizer vaccine earlier this month following its clinical approval has been given her second dose.
Margaret Keenan was given the follow-up injection at Coventry’s University Hospital on Tuesday, three weeks after making history with the first jab.
The 91-year-old, who celebrated a birthday in between jabs, received an injection on December 8, describing it as a “whirlwind” day.
U.K. regulators said people who have a ‘significant history’ of allergic reactions shouldn’t receive the new Pfizer vaccine while they investigate two adverse reactions that occurred on the first day of the country’s mass vaccination program.
U.K.’s first recipient of Pfizer and BioNTech’s coronavirus vaccine received her second dose of the shot on Tuesday, becoming the first person outside of clinical study to be fully inoculated, according to reports. Margaret Keenan, who received her first dose on Dec. 8, returned to Coventry’s University Hospital to receive the second.
The 91-year-old, who was the first in the world to receive the jab after the U.K. leapfrogged the European Union to grant the vaccine temporary approval, had previously urged everybody to get the vaccine when they are asked to do so.

It is the first time the figure has exceeded 50,000 overnight.
It takes the total number of infections recorded across Britain since the start of the pandemic to 2,382,865.
The Government also said a further 414 people have died within 28 days of testing positive for the virus as of Monday, bringing the official national total to 79,351.
However, separate figures published by the UK’s statistics agencies, together with additional data on deaths that have occurred in recent days, show there have now been more than 87,000 deaths involving Covid-19 in the UK.
