MALTA BEND MAN CHARGED WITH SEX-RELATED FELONIES INVOLVING A JUVENILE

A 19 year old Malta Bend man facing sex related felonies involving a juvenile remains in custody. The mother of a 15-year-old juvenile reported to authorities that her daughter alleged that she had been raped, on two separate occasions by a family member, identified as Jayden Browder. Browder is charged with two Unclassified sex-related felonies. Bond is set at $250,000 cash only. Browder pleaded not guilty to the charges on Monday, April 26. MARSHALL MAN CHARGED WITH FELONIES AFTER ALLEGEDLY STEALING ATV

A Marshall resident is facing felony charges after he allegedly stole an ATV and resisted arrest after a reported incident on Monday, April 26, in Saline County. According to a report from a sheriff’s deputy, deputies were called to a residence on Garland Avenue in Sweet Springs for the report of a man on an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) trespassing on private property. After arriving near the scene, authorities encountered the reporting party who said the man abandoned the ATV and fled into a wooded area. The deputy learned the ATV was taken from the property without permission. The deputy located the suspect, who continued walking away from the deputy, not complying with the deputy’s commands to stop. The suspect eventually stopped and got on the ground, but he refused to comply and lie face down on the ground, instead he sat up and was digging into the storage area of his backpack. GRAIN VALLEY MAN CHARGED WITH FELONIES AFTER TRAFFIC STOP IN SALINE COUNTY

A 44-year-old Grain Valley man is facing drug- and weapon-related felony charges after a traffic stop in Saline County about a year and a half ago. A report from a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper says, on November 30, 2019, during a search of the vehicle, he located $1,536 in rolled up U.S. currency; a clear plastic bag with two grams of methamphetamine; two pistols with an abundance of ammunition; several vacuum-sealed bags of marijuana; vape pen cartridges; a scale; and other drug-related items. According to court documents, a criminal summons has been issued and Brent Wayne Collins is charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance; and Class D Felonies for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.

MARSHALL MAN SCHEDULED TO BE SENTENCED IN CHILD PORNOGRAPHY CASE

A Marshall man is scheduled to be sentenced on Monday in Saline County after he pleaded guilty to being in possession of child pornography. According to a probable-cause statement filed in May of 2020, a report from a Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent says HSI in Kansas City was in receipt of six reports submitted to NCMEC by Dropbox, Inc. Two reports were from November 2017, two reports were from December 2017 and one each on February 19 and April 23, 2018. The accounts associated with the Dropbox accounts were identified as belonging to Brandon Lee Walker. All six reports reported the images/videos of child pornography had been uploaded to servers from an IP Address connected to Walker.
