Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) continues its growth in the latest Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings, moving up to 250
th place. Since it broke into the QS World University Rankings in 349 place in 2017, UBD has risen to be in the top one per cent out of over 26,000 universities globally since last year.
The announcement by QS showed that UBD performed particularly well, improving in the six indicators. Its strongest indicator, International Faculty, was placed among top 50 in the world. This indicator along with Faculty-Student Ratio and International Students also sees UBD performing better than the global average. UBD has also made improvements in Academic Reputation and Employer Reputation.
COMSATS gets good spot in int’l rankings

Islamabad : Times Higher Education (THE), UK, announced the 2021 Asian University Rankings placing COMSATS University Islamabad at 171 among 551 institutions across 30 territories.
THE ranked 16 universities of Pakistan this year, with CUI being the largest in terms of enrolled students. Asia University Rankings 2021 use the same 13 performance indicators as THE World University Rankings, but they are recalibrated to reflect the attributes of Asia’s institutions.
This year’s rankings are led by two Chinese institutions for the second year in a row – Tsinghua University in first place and Peking University in second, while Japan has the largest number of ranked universities in Asia.
Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), which was ranked 60th among Asia’s university in the latest rankings by Times Higher Education 2021, has retained its 60th spot for the second year.
Three universities in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are among the top 500 in Asia, according to a ranking by Times Higher Education. - VnExpress International
