BRUNSWICK, Maine For the first time since 2017, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels will head to Brunswick over Labor Day weekend to headline the 2021 Great State of Maine Air Show.
The flight demonstration squadron, which celebrates its 75th anniversary this year, will include a new F-18 Super Hornet aircraft, 25 percent larger than the previous Legacy Hornet, which retired last year.
The 2021 Great State of Maine Air Show will be the only stop in New England for the Blue Angels, according to a release.
A weekend of aerial performances will be headlined by The U.S. Navy Blue Angels.
It will be your only shot to see the Blue Angels in their new F-18 Super Hornets roar through the skies over Maine this year. The Great State of Maine Air Show is scheduled for September, 4 and 5. The air show once again takes place at Brunswick Executive Airport. Tickets go on-sale July 6. More performers will be announced in the coming months.
This will be the only New England show the Blue Angels are scheduled to perform in their 2021 season. It will be their first show in Maine since 2017.
