HARRISBURG (KDKA) The Pennsylvania Department of Health is reporting 906 new Coronavirus cases and 42 additional death.
This brings the statewide total to 1,197,468 cases and 27,085 total COVID-19 related deaths since the pandemic began.
There are 1,230 people across the state in the hospital with COVID-19, and 295 patients are in ICUs.
The state says 10,261,761 total vaccine doses have been administered and 4,518,470 people are fully vaccinated. So far, 52.1% of Pennsylvanians age 18 and older are fully vaccinated.
Pennsylvania is adopting the CDC’s newly relaxed mask-wearing guidelines, meaning fully vaccinated people don’t have to wear masks in most places.
Gov. Wolf and PA Health Secretary released a status update from the COVID-19 Early Warning Monitoring System Dashboard, comparing the period of May 7 – 14 to the previous seven days and highlighting an increase of 6,950 cases.

This brings the statewide total to 1,196,562 cases and 27,043 total COVID-19 related deaths since the pandemic began.
There are 1,261 people across the state in the hospital with COVID-19, and 293 patients are in ICUs.
The state says 10,212,401 total vaccine doses have been administered and 4,488,578 people are fully vaccinated. So far, 51.8% of Pennsylvanians age 18 and older are fully vaccinated.
