Grand Theft Auto 6 Updates: Rockstar Prioritizes GTA 5 Release on PS5, Xbox Series X Grand Theft Auto fans might have to wait for longer for GTA 6, as Rockstar Games is set to release versions of its eight-year-old GTA V for the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

All fans eagerly anticipating Grand Theft Auto 6 may have to wait longer.
It seems Rockstar Games is just all too happy with its eight-year-old monolith Grand Theft Auto V, so much so that it will release two new versions come November. Grand Theft Auto V and its hit online variant will drop on the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 11. Rockstar did not reveal any new improvement to its open-world experience in the new versions, except for what Rockstar claimed as the 2021 GTA 5 being expanded and enhanced with technical and visual improvements, The Verge noted in a report.

Update 05/19/21: A spokesperson from Private Division, the American publisher owned by Take-Two, has explained the company won t be involved with future iterations of
The Outer Worlds franchise, noting that Obsidian and owner Microsoft will be steering the ship moving forward.
Microsoft has been looking to expand its stable of first-party titles for some time, having spent huge sums of cash on a variety of studios over the past few years, such as its recent $7.5 billion acquisition of Bethesda.
The Outer Worlds developer worked with Take-Two s subsidiary Private Division to publish the game. Recent remarks from Take-Two president Karl Slatoff had indicated that relationship would continue, but an update from Private Division has confirmed that Microsoft now intends to take charge of the franchise.
