Oak Bluffs resident Jeffrey S. Windle is scheduled for arraignment in Edgartown District Court on June 25 on charges that stem from a fraudulent check. The arraignment date comes after a determination of probable cause by Edgartown Clerk-Magistrate Liza Williamson on March 25.Â
The charges against Windle have increased in number and severity since his apprehension by members of a U.S. Marshalâs Office task force in February. According to a Feb. 18 police report, Windle was originally charged by Tisbury Police with larceny over $1,200 and larceny by check after he allegedly tried to acquire real estate with an invalid $2 million check. Windle previously served time for embezzling millions of dollars. Attorney: New evidence emerges in Bagnall case

Edgartown’s shellfish constable, Paul Bagnall came before Edgartown District Court Judge Benjamin Barnes remotely Friday morning for a pretrial conference on a charge of property defacement.
Bagnall is accused of using a town vehicle to tear up a lawn. Bagnall’s attorney, Martin (“Skip”) Tomassian, told the court he “just came into possession of some exculpatory evidence” in the case. He did not articulate what the evidence was. Bagnall pleaded not guilty to the defacement charge at his Dec. 31 arraignment. This followed a Dec. 9 probable cause finding at a clerk magistrate’s hearing. Edgartown District Court Judge Benjamin Barnes will allow the commonwealth to access the medical records of Zachary Dupon on the night of a crash that resulted in the death of 22-year-old Oak Bluffs resident Emma Hall.
Barnes also allowed a separate motion for access to a set of five medical and EMT records of two passengers who were injured in Hall’s vehicle.
Barnes originally took the issue under advisement, but made the ruling on Monday.

Stuntwomanâs lawyer moves to suppress evidence
Kim Washington Longino appeared remotely in Edgartown District Court Monday for a motion hearing on her Tisbury OUI case.
Film and television stuntwoman Kim Washington Longino, a.k.a. Kym Washington Longino, came before Edgartown District Court Judge Benjamin Barnes via Zoom Monday for a motion hearing seeking to suppress evidence in her ongoing drinking and driving case.Â
Longino was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a Tisbury Police stop on July 24. She was subsequently charged with operating on a suspended license after allegedly being observed at the wheel of a vehicle by a Tisbury Police officer on August 25.
