At its administrative and community service meeting Thursday, the committee unanimously picked S.M. Wilson & Co. to build the facility at a cost of $10,828,950. The engineers’ estimate was $11,375,000. All that remains is full council approval at its next meeting. “I appreciate the mayor’s gumption,” said Alderman William Krause. “This was one of the plans he set out when he first came into office and here we are, a few years later and it’s coming to fruition.

Each day, she sees 65 of the more than 2,300 students enrolled at the school.

EDWARDSVILLE The proposed ice rink, teen center, track and recreational facility called TheCENTER has recently received $50,000 naming rights sponsorships from The Korte Company and Contegra Construction Company. The Korte Company has signed on for scoreboard naming rights. Contegra Construction will sponsor the facility’s seating area for rink spectators.
