KSD Agrees to Fulltime Class Return Mid-April, No Firm Date Yet
From an email sent to media and parents on Thursday, it appears the Kennewick School District is preparing for middle and HS students to return to full-time in-class education, as well as elementary.
The exact definition of what that means was not spelled out, but the KSD information indicated the following: Last week, the KSD Board of Directors unanimously authorized a return to full-time, in-person learning for all students. The implementation timeline was set for no earlier than mid-April, to allow for appropriate planning, communication and transition for staff and families.

Once a month Governor Greg Gianforte has committed to appearing on the KGVO Talk Back show to answer questions from listeners, and Thursday was the day.
The phone liners were full just after the Governor was introduced, and the first question dealt with his response to what is happening in Washington, D.C. and how he planned to protect the sovereignty of the state.

If you have a kid, you know that the past year has not been easy on your kid. Virtual learning was a good solution to a problem we didn t expect. It wasn t nearly as good face-to-face learning, and we know that now as we look at how far behind our kids are.
But what can we do about it? Keep looking back at the past and complaining about everything? No. We need to do what we can to help our kids get to where they need to be. I know for my kid, we re taking extra time with her to make sure she understands the lessons.
