A Warwick University professor wrongly claimed a female Holocaust survivor had had a sexual lesbian relationship with a Nazi concentration camp guard, a research misconduct investigation has found.
A panel convened by the university concluded there was insufficient evidence to support historian Dr Anna Hájková s claims that a Jewish prisoner and an SS guard had had a sexual relationship.
The extraordinary claim was made by Dr Hájková after testimonies by survivors of the camps and legal documents from the Nazi s trial led her to conclude an affair had occurred between the two women.
When the professor, who specialises in an LGBTQ+ study of the Holocaust, contacted the prisoner s daughter in 2014, she was told the women s relationship had not been sexual, whether consensual or coercive.

The arts centre is offering a retrospective look at over 20 years of his work while the gallery is unveiling ten radically new pieces, born of pandemic-era isolation; bursting with inspiration and inventiveness, the works are entirely handmade by the artist.
A VILLAGE headmaster who became the historian of the Durham Light Infantry has died only a month after his wife of 66 years passed away. Harry Moses was headmaster at Aycliffe Village School for 23 years until his retirement in 1993, and his funeral cortege will pass the schoolgates so that people can pay their respects. Harry was also the official historian of the DLI, recording veterans’ stories for the Imperial War Museum, writing several books, organising battlefield tours and giving talks. “He was everything to the DLI,” said Major Chris Lawton, chairman of the DLI Association. “I don’t know how we are going to spread our word without him. He was a mega-part of the regiment.”

PIMA COUTNY, Ariz . (KGUN) â The Pima Air and Space Museum is expanding to add a new attraction.
The Tucson military vehicle museum will give visitors the opportunity to drive and ride in a variety of military land vehicles, according to a county memo. The new museum will be east of the Pima Air and Space Museum.
Along with vehicles already on site, the Imperial War Museum has offered to donate 50 vehicles to the new exhibit.
