MIRPUR (Dunya News) – The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Sardar Masood Khan on Sunday called upon UN Security Council to discuss the incident of the Indian forces attack on United Nations (UN) vehicle carrying two officers of the United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) in AJK.
In a statement issued on Sunday, he said that the UN military observers are present in both Azad and occupied Jammu and Kashmir since 1949 under the authority and powers assigned by the Security Council to monitor the ceasefire at the LoC and submit their reports to the UN Secretary-General.

A senior Indian diplomat was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFa) on Sunday to register Pakistan’s strong protest over the recent ceasefire violation by occupation forces along the Line of Control (LoC), resulting in serious injuries to innocent civilians.
A statement issued by the Foreign Office maintained that due to indiscriminate and unprovoked firing by the Indian occupation forces in Rakhchikri Sector of the LoC on December 19, 2020, 25-year-old resident of Akhori village, Sagheera d/o Muhammad Haneef, sustained serious injuries.
