UN agency initially established for only three years, continues to help refugees even after turning 70
The World observed disastrous consequences of World War II. Europe took a major beating in the Second World War. The United Nations, and International intergovernmental foundation was established in year 1945 with aim to maintain International Peace & Security. Under it, several subsidiary organizations were established. Initially, the UN agency was made for only three years and once their work was concluded it was supposed to be disbanded. But one after the other emergent situations cropped up and now it is 70 years, and the organization is still functioning with the same novelty and passion.
