Dominican man sentenced to 75 months for participation in fentanyl trafficking conspiracy

CONCORD Frailin Manuel Gomez-Gil, a citizen of the Dominican Republic most recently residing in Lawrence, Massachusetts, was sentenced to 75 months in federal prison on Friday for participating in a fentanyl trafficking conspiracy, Acing United States Attorney John J. Farley announced today. According to court documents and statements made in court, Gomez-Gil participated in a drug trafficking organization that was led by Sergio Martinez. Martinez, who is now serving a 45-year prison sentence, employed numerous individuals to sell fentanyl to customers from various New England states, including New Hampshire. Gomez-Gil assisted Martinez with testing, diluting, and packaging the drugs for sale.

PHOENIX, AZ On Wednesday, Kevin Scott Wynn of Scottsdale, Arizona, was sentenced by United States District Judge Susan M. Brnovich to 46 months in prison. The Court also imposed a fine of $7,500 on Wynn. Wynn was previously found guilty by a jury of tax evasion and failure to file tax returns in December 2019. The sentence included an upward adjustment for obstruction of justice: Wynn withdrew $1,500,000 in cash from his business bank account in thirteen separate transactions in the first several months of 2020, and subsequently cut his ankle monitor and fled Arizona before a scheduled sentencing hearing. He was apprehended by Mexican law enforcement authorities in Mexico City in August and deported back to the United States. Upon release from prison, Wynn will be placed on supervised release for three years. As a condition of supervision, he will be required to pay more than $700,000 in back taxes as restitution to the Internal Revenue Service.

Lewis was sentenced to 30 years in prison, followed by five years of supervised release.   June 21, 2020) – The skeletal remains of a missing Soldier discovered Friday in Killeen, Texas have been positively identified as those of Private Gregory Morales. Morales’ remains were discovered in a field near the 3200 block of Florence Road Friday morning after U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command Special Agents received information as to the location of the body. Foul play is suspected at this point in the investigation. Army Special Agents are working closely with the Killeen Police Department and are offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone with credible information concerning the circumstances surrounding the death of Morales.
