123 arrests made in ‘Operation Washout,’ a 10-day operation to lower crime rates in Galveston County

GALVESTON, Texas – Officials announced the results of Operation Washout, a 10-day operation for improving safety against criminal activity in Galveston County.
The press conference took place at 10 a.m. at the Galveston Law Enforcement Center located on 601 54th St.
Authorities said there were 123 arrests made during the operation. The operation was intended to reduce violent crime as the year begins.
Authorities said they now plan to follow up and address the social needs of the community as they continue to decrease the crime rate in the area.
Suspect in Kennewick Stabbing Located in CA
A suspect wanted in a Kennewick stabbing last October has been located in California and awaiting transfer back to Kennewick.
The victim in the following case must be relieved in knowing her attacker is now in custody. The suspect will be returning to the area to be formally charged for the crime committed.
20-year old Chantel Leon-Parra has been identified as the suspect wanted in connection to an alleged assault back on October 15th. Upon arrival, just after 9:30 pm, Kennewick Police found a 24-year old female victim with several stab wounds at 5 North Tweedt Place. Police administered first aid until medics arrived. The suspect left the residence before the victim called 911. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect and victim were acquaintances.
On January 25th, 2021, Haralson County Sheriff’s Office and Bremen Police Department investigators were continuing to pursue possible leads in the on-going manhunt for murder suspect Christian Taylor Davis. One of many tips had been received by Haralson County Sheriff Stacy Williams, indicating a possible address where Davis was intentionally being concealed from law enforcement by the residents. At approximately 11:00 am, investigators arrived at the residence, which is located within the Felton community of Haralson County.
As investigators made contact with one of the occupants at the front door, murder suspect Davis attempted to flee out of a secondary exit of the residence. Davis was quickly apprehended by law enforcement without further incident. A search warrant was obtained for the residence and upon execution of the warrant, several firearms and a quantity of suspected methamphetamines were located within. Jacob Angeli Chansley, a.k.a. Jake Angeli, of Arizona, was taken into custody on Saturday, January 9, 2021 on the charges of knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, and with violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.
