Calls to boycott Goya Foods continue to grow after the company’s CEO, Robert Unanue, falsely claimed Donald Trump had won the presidential election. Unanue gave an introductory speech for Trump Sunday at the the Conservative Political Action Conference â or CPAC â in Florida.
Robert Unanue: “My biggest honor today is going to be that I think we’re going to be on the same stage as, in my opinion, the real, the legitimate and the still actual president of the United States, Donald J. Trump.”
In response, the president of the League of United Latin American Citizens, LULAC, Domingo Garcia, told CNN, “When you put out lies to the community, there are consequences and there are going to be ramifications for your product.”

Attorneys for the League of United Latin American Citizens of Florida filed a notice this week that they are challenging a Jan. 5 decision by the state Public Service Commission to approve what Duke has dubbed the “Clean Energy Connection Program.”
While utilities have rushed to build solar-power plants during the past few years, the Duke program has a financial structure that involves some customers volunteering to initially pay more on their electric bills to help finance the projects - and then receiving bill credits in the future.

Representatives of communities of color in Clark County said the non-law enforcement members of the Southwest Washington Independent Investigative Response Team do not go far enough in increasing the transparency following police shootings, or in reversing systemic racism.
NAACP Vancouver can help in spreading the word about something like the non-law enforcement members, but it’s important to acknowledge the potential barriers for some of the “would-be” participants, said Legal Redress Committee Chair Nickeia Hunter.
