Police appeal after vandals trash protected natural area Rubbish dumped and branches cut from trees Rubbish including traffic cones, tyres and household waste was found at the site Detective Constable Aaron Flint of Grantham is appealing for witnesses and information following the report of substantial damage being caused to Ancaster Valley Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). Branches have been cut from trees, some of which are hundreds of years old and rubbish, including tyres, wood, and other items, have been dumped at the site. It is believed this has happened sometime during the last two weeks. The area in question is protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, which makes it an offence to intentionally or recklessly damage a SSSI.

Nine people charged after Lincoln drug raids Police probe into multi-million drugs operation | Photo: Lincolnshire Police Nine people have been charged with drug related offences after a police operation in Lincoln on Tuesday morning. At around 7am, the East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU) raided properties in the city as part of a pre-planned operation to investigate drug offences, particularly dealing with Class A controlled drugs – meth amphetamine and cocaine. On Wednesday night, Lincolnshire Police said they charged all ten people they arrested during the operation. Detective Chief Superintendent Nikki Mayo, from East Midlands Special Operations Unit, said: “We will now continue to investigate what we believe to be a multi-million pound illicit ‘business’ to unravel the extent of criminal activity and pursue those involved.”
