71 COVID-19 cases and no deaths in Greater Lincolnshire on Thursday

There have been 71 new coronavirus cases and no COVID-related deaths in Greater Lincolnshire on Thursday, compared to 63 cases and two deaths this time last week.
The government’s COVID-19 dashboard recorded 44 new cases in Lincolnshire, 22 in North Lincolnshire and five in North East Lincolnshire.
On Thursday, no deaths were registered in Greater Lincolnshire. These figures include deaths both in and out of hospitals, as well as residents in hospitals outside the county.
NHS England has also reported no new local hospital deaths across Greater Lincolnshire’s four hospital trusts, which currently stand at 1,304 since the pandemic started.

A banned motorist who drove at 110mph in a bid to flee from police has been jailed at Lincoln Crown Court.
Shaun White, who had been disqualified from driving in June, attracted the attention of officers as he drove through Skegness earlier this year.
Lucia Harrington, prosecuting, said White parked at the side of the road on South Parade and an officer approached him asking for his details.
The name White gave was checked and belonged to someone without a licence.
Wednesday sees 49 coronavirus cases and one death in Greater Lincolnshire

There have been 49 new coronavirus cases and one COVID-related death in Greater Lincolnshire on Wednesday down from 56 cases and two deaths this time last week.
The government’s COVID-19 dashboard recorded 25 cases in North Lincolnshire, 24 in Lincolnshire, but none in North East Lincolnshire.
On Wednesday, one death was registered in Lincolnshire and none in Northern Lincolnshire. These figures include deaths both in and out of hospitals, as well as residents in hospitals outside the county.
NHS England has reported one new local hospital death at United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust, the first death at a Greater Lincolnshire hospital in 17 days.

Lincolnshire Police wildlife investigators are appealing for witnesses to an incident in which a sock has been placed over a swan’s head in Lincoln.
The swan was in the Catchwater Drain in the Coulson Road area of Lincoln when it was rescued on May 2. It had the black sock pulled tightly over its head.
PC Llewellyn, investigating officer, said: “Any type of animal cruelty will not be tolerated and we will carry out a full investigation into this incident. We work with wildlife organisations who report these incidents to us so we can investigate.
