KANSAS CITY, Mo. â The Unified Government Public Health Department plans to launch the second phase of its COVID-19 vaccine incentive program later this week.
Beginning on Wednesday, any eligible resident who receives a vaccine at the UGPHD vaccine site, 7836 State Ave., can âSpin to winâ instant prizes or enter a raffle, according to a news release. Two $500 Visa gift cards will be raffled each day the site is open, the release stated.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. â The delta variant of the COVID-19 virus continues to spread into both Missouri and Kansas, and Kansas City metro county health officials are warning it will soon be the dominant strain nationwide.
An alarming trend, according to health officials, is that the newer cases are among young people. Weâve seen lower vaccination rates with younger folks, and a lot of that is because they donât see COVID as much of a threat to their health, Hannah Conner, COVID-19 epidemiologist for the Unified Government Public Health Department, said, but itâs still a threat to the populationâs health.
