ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz said Sunday that after getting a vote of confidence from the National Assembly, Prime Minister Imran Khan declared a Jihad against inflation.
Speaking here at a news conference, he said the prime minister would focus on provision of relief to people now besides giving targeted subsidies to the middle and poor classes. The minister said that the fruits of economic stability and growth in the country would reach the people soon. He said the reasons for inflation were different and some of those were not in control of the government, like the items which were imported into the country.

ISLAMABAD: Scores of ministers, celebrities and designers and cricketers congratulated Prime Minister Imran Khan after he won the National Assembly s vote of confidence following the Senate election setback.
Pakistan bowling coach Waqar Younis, Mohammad Hafeez, Yasir Hameed, Amir Yamin, , besides Lollywood actor Shaan Shahid, Rohail Hyatt of Vital Signs and designer Zarlasht Faisal were among the scores who congratulated the former skipper. The premier emerged victorious after obtaining 178 of the required 172 votes of trust from Lower House members.
Congratulating the prime minister, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz said the premier had once again proved that he is a true, upright, and brave leader who did not compromise on his principles.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz said on Sunday that the opposition parties united under the banner of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) want to reestablish their footing in Pakistan s politics to make more money and fulfill their vested interests. The opposition parties under the PDM want to bring the incumbent government under pressure, Shibli said, adding, but Prime Minister Imran Khan won t accept any pressure or be influenced [by them].
