Semi-Truck Involved in Crash With School Bus Near Stewartville

Stewartville, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Olmsted County Sheriff s Office responded this afternoon to a crash involving a school bus and a semi-truck.
Sheriff s Captain Scott Behrns says there were six children from the Stewartville School District on the bus when the incident occurred just before 1 PM on Olmsted County Road 6 about four miles west of Stewartville in High Forest Township. Behrns says none of the children were injured.
An initial investigation has determined the school bus had stopped on the roadway to drop off some of the children and the driver of the truck apparently did not realize the bus was stationary. In an attempt to avoid a collision, the truck ended up jackknifed in the ditch and on the roadway.

(ABC 6 News) - Update 2:15 p.m. - One person is dead following a shooting incident that occurred during a commercial vehicle traffic stop at the Miracle Mile shopping center parking lot Tuesday morning.
According to the Department of Public Safety, three troopers assigned to the Minnesota State Patrol Commercial Vehicle unit stopped a semi-truck for a vehicle inspection around 6:45 a.m.
Troopers attempted to detain the semi-truck driver for failing to produce identification around 8:30 a.m.
According to the preliminary investigation, the driver took out a gun and fired two rounds, both of which were self-inflicted shots.

STEWARTVILLE A two-vehicle crash near Stewartville on Sunday afternoon sent one man to the hospital.
Taresa Christensen, 40, of La Crosse, Wis., and Jason Allen Reisenauer, 47, also of La Crosse, were driving a 2008 Saturn Vue and a 2002 BMW R1150 northbound on Highway 63 at 3:40 p.m. when the vehicles collided, according to a Minnesota State Patrol report.
Reisenauer was transported to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys Campus with non-life-threatening injuries. Christensen was uninjured.
The Olmsted County Sheriff s Office and Mayo Clinic ambulance responded to the scene.

Rochester Murder Trial Postponed
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man’s jury trial has been delayed.
Jury selection was scheduled to begin Monday for the trial of 32-year-old Muhidin Abukar, but court records show it has been postponed due to a scheduling conflict. A new trial date has yet to be selected.
Abukar is one of two men charged with being involved in the murder of 28-year-old Garad Roble. He was found shot to death along a rural southeast Rochester near the Shoppes on Maine complex in March of 2019. He is charged with one count of second-degree murder.
Man, 75, hospitalized after being knocked off mule in Olmsted County
A 75-year-old man was hospitalized Saturday after he was knocked unconscious after getting kicked off a mule.

OLMSTED COUNTY, Minn. - A 75-year-old man was hospitalized Saturday after he was knocked unconscious after getting kicked off a mule.
The Olmsted County Sheriff s Office responded to the 9600 block of County Rd. 3 NW and found a 75-year-old man from St. Paul who was knocked unconscious.
He was taken to St. Marys Hospital. His condition at this time remains unknown.
