ROCHESTER, Minn. - A suspect is in custody after leading police on a high-speed chase through Rochester with a man in the trunk of their car.
While limited details have been made available, officials confirm the incident began at Chico s Autobody Repair. Officers from the Olmsted County Sheriff s Office were then led on a chase through Rochester, before a suspect was apprehended after attempting to flee on foot in Northwest Rochester.
Jason Gascoigne of Chico s Autobody Repair says he was in the trunk of the car as it was being pursued by police. Gascoigne tells KIMT he jumped in the trunk after a person attempted to take off with the car before paying for repairs.

An autobody employee escaped serious injury Tuesday night after police say he was in the trunk of a vehicle that lead police on a high-speed pursuit.

A Rock Dell Township man has been charged with five felonies after a young woman told law enforcement that he had abused her for about a decade.
Timothy Jay Griffin, 54, made his first appearance in Olmsted County District Court on Thursday morning on two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.
