Two jailed on charge of possessing of 8 oz of crack in Oswegatchie

Tuesday, May 4, 2021 - 6:09 pm OSWEGATCHIE – Two people are jailed without bail after city police say they found several ounces of narcotics while searching their vehicle. On Friday, April 30, city police say their Narcotics Enforcement Unit conducted a traffic stop on State Highway 812 in the Town of Oswegatchie. Troche A police K9 sniffed the exterior of the vehicle, and as a result of that, detectives say they found eight ounces of crack cocaine and over $12,000 in U.S. currency. That led to Thomas Troche, 34, of Brooklyn, and Harry Martinez, 44, Bronx being charged with first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.

(WWNY) - A report of an armed robbery ended with the arrest of 3 people and the seizure of drugs, cash and a gun. Ogdensburg police were called to 809 Mechanic Street on Tuesday after it was reported that 2 men entered the home with a gun, stole property, and fled in a vehicle. After the vehicle was located, police said they found approximately 5 pounds of marijuana and a .357 revolver. Information developed from the investigation led to a raid at 809 Mechanic Street, where police said they found another 5 pounds of marijuana, 11 ounces of concentrated cannabis, 85 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, and more than $30,000 in cash.

POTSDAM â Mantrell K. Williams, 28, of Potsdam, was charged by St. Lawrence County sheriffâs deputies March 31 with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony, two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child, both misdemeanors, following an investigation into a reported domestic incident. Police allege Mr. Williams damaged a bedroom door and made physical contact with a person protected by a court order of protection, all in the presence of a child. He is further alleged to have taken the victimâs phone away, preventing them from calling 911. He was remanded to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, on $5,000 cash bail.
