Owensboro police need the community s help in trying to identify a woman whose body was discovered along the riverfront.
According to a news release issued by the Owensboro Police Department, officers were called to the 1400 block of West 1st Street, Tuesday, March 30th.
Now that the autopsy has been completed, the police need our help in identifying her, as they have been unable to locate any missing persons reports that match the individual.

She is a Caucasian female, approximately 30 to 40 years old and is about 5 foot 3 inches in height.
Her weight is between 200 and 250 pounds and her left leg has been surgically amputated below the knee.

Tiffany Hoffman, Kindergarten Teacher, at Sutton Elementary School was blessed to work alongside, Melissa Baber, her former assistant. In 2015, Melissa was taken suddenly and way too soon in 2015. Mrs. Hoffman wanted to do something to keep her memory and spirit alive for years to come.

Melissa loved animals. Tiffany decided to host a pet supply drive in her classroom the first year and after that, it caught on throughout the whole school eventually becoming community-wide.

Now students have a friendly competition among classrooms. They set goals each year. This year s first place is a Shaved Ice Party, the second place is Extra P.E. time with Mrs. Roberts, and the third place is a visit from the FRC Candy Cart.

In past conversations, if I ve said, Well, I grew up at Hall Street Baptist Church, I almost meant exactly that.
When we were kids, my family and I were involved in TONS of church activities. We d especially be there throughout the week during the Christmas season.
But it was a hoppin joint the rest of the year, too.
There were choir practices and services and.one of my all-time favorite activities.the PUPPET MINISTRY.
I never knew how our minister of music at the time, Bill Hart, came upon the idea of adding puppets to the church s youth activities, but it was an absolute home run.
