Sneaky Petes in west Toledo cited for violating coronavirus health regulations

Five other Ohio bars were cited for the following violations:  Green Rock Reserve LLC., known as Corner Bar, Parma Heights, received a citation for improper conduct – disorderly activity. Agents arrived at 7:25 p.m. and observed a live band with approximately 150 patrons inside the establishment. Many of the staff and patrons were not wearing facial coverings. No physical barriers were in place in the seating area or the bar area where every seat was occupied and patrons stood closely behind each other waiting to order. Patrons were permitted to stand and walk freely about the premises while consuming alcoholic beverages. Brooklands Bar in Akron, Corner Bar in Parma Heights, and B Stone Bar & Grill, Cebar’s Euclid Tavern, and Republix Cocktail Lounge in Euclid were cited after agents visited the establishments on Saturday, according to the release. Two area bars were cited by state agents, accused of violating COVID-19 pandemic rules. The Musical Inn, at 3941 Navarre Road SW, in Canton Township, and D Kay s Bar and Grill, at 2959 Brightwood Road SE, in New Philadelphia, were issued citations for improper conduct and disorderly activity. The Musical Inn also was cited for drug possession. The night spots were among those visited overnight Friday by the Ohio Investigative Unit. The plain-clothes officers regularly conduct compliance checks to ensure that liquor permit-holders comply with the state s Liquor Control Act, as well as COVID-19 directives. Ohioans are currently subject to a 10 p.m. curfew, issued by Gov. Mike DeWine, an order in effect through Jan. 23.
