Daytona Beach, FL – The fishing area at the Daytona Beach Pier is shut down for the month of May and is expected to reopen in Early June. Other portions of the pier and Joe’s Crab Shack remains open. Nearby fishing options that require a license include the docks under the new Orange Avenue bridge, the Seabreeze Bridge with a dock on the west side, and on Main Street, where you can fish right off the bridge. No license is required at Sunglow Pier in Daytona Beach Shores, where you pay an admission fee. For ages 12 and up, it’s $7. For children under 12, it’s $3. You can rent a fishing pole all day for $7 or $3 per hour.
