Fugitive wanted in attempted murder of man at N.J. boat dealership captured, prosecutor says

Donald Rutter, 61, of Tuckerton was charged with the attempted murder of the 55-year-old Little Egg Harbor resident, as well weapons-related offenses on Jan. 6, one day after the shooting occurred, and had been on the run since that time, according to a statement from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office.
On Jan. 5, the Little Egg Harbor police were called to Jarvis Marine on Radio Road after someone dialed 911 and reported that a man had been shot there, the office said. When they arrived, they found that the man had been shot in the midsection, authorities said.
Tuckerton Man Wanted for Attempted Murder Caught in Atlantic City
A Tuckerton man, wanted for shooting another man in Little Egg Harbor Township, has been taken into custody in Atlantic City.
Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer says Donald Rutter, 61, of Tuckerton had been on the loose since attempted murder charges were filed against him early this month. Authorities say that on the evening of January 5th, it was Rutter who shot Thomas Jarvis in the midsection. The incident happened at Jarvis Marine on Radio Road.

Jarvis was rushed to the hospital and treated. He s been released from the hospital and is said to be recovering from his injuries.
Man faces 8 years in prison after robbing pharmacy at gunpoint, prosecutor says

A Lakewood man admitted Wednesday that he robbed a township pharmacy at gunpoint last year, officials said.
Elioenai Aguinaga, 32, pleaded guilty to robbery and will now face an 8-year state prison term when he is sentenced on March 24, according to a release from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office.
Lakewood Police officers were called to Taylor’s Pharmacy on Madison Avenue for a report of a robbery on March 26, 2020 and learned that a man had entered the business, pointed a semi-automatic handgun at a store clerk and demanded money from the cash register, the office said. The man made off with only $130.

BRICK, NJ A 14-year-old has been charged with murder in the stabbing death of a 38-year-old Brick Township man, authorities said Sunday.
Mohammed Khater, 38, died Saturday at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, where he was taken following the incident, Ocean County County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer and Brick Township Police Chief James Riccio said.
Brick Township police were called to a home about 2:45 p.m. on Saturday and found Khater with a stab wound to the right side of his abdomen, authorities said. The home was on Herbertsville Road, the Asbury Park Press reported.

A teen who admitted shooting and injuring a 16-year-old Brick Memorial High School student who was walking home after school was sentenced Thursday to 10 years in state prison, authorities said.
Alonzo Legrande, 18, of Asbury Park pleaded guilty on September 17, 2020 to aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose after he voluntarily agreed to be tried as an adult in Ocean County Superior Court, according to a release from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office.
