The multinational maritime exercise organised by the Pakistan Navy in the Arabian Sea concluded on Tuesday with the commitment to make the seas safer.
Pakistan President Dr Arif Alvi, who was the chief guest at the concluding ceremony of the exercise Aman-21, witnessed the International Fleet Review (IFR) featuring operational manoeuvres, drills and a fly past by the Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Air Force as well as participating foreign aircrafts. Forty five countries, including the US, Russia, China, and Turkey, participated in the exercise, which is hosted biennially by the Pakistan Navy since 2007. The event concluded with ships of the Pakistan Navy and participating countries forming the traditional Aman formation to signify unity and collective resolve , the Army said in a statement.
KMC receives half of 52 fire engines imported from China

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has received half of the 52 state-of-the-art fire engines imported by the federal government from China, while the other half has been mainly provided to the trade & industry associations and welfare organisations based in the city.
A ceremony was held at the Governor House on Sunday to hand over the new fire engines to the recipient agencies. One fire engine each was provided to the Korangi Creek Industrial Park and the Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
Two fire engines each were handed over to the Korangi Association of Trade & Industry, the North Karachi Association of Trade & Industry and the Federal B Area Association of Trade & Industry.

The scholars and experts from across the world expressed their views on need of maritime security and sustainable growth during the 9th International Maritime Conference (IMC) 2021 being held in Karachi.
The conference was organised by National Institute of Maritime Affairs (NIMA), under the aegis of Pakistan Navy and being conducted in tandem with 7th multinational naval exercise Aman-2021.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said on Monday that he has been elected to the post by the provincial legislature and is therefore not answerable to anyone except the Sindh Assembly, not even to the prime minister.
He made these remarks while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Facility and Dow Institute of Life Sciences at the Ojha campus of Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) in Karachi. According to the Constitution, I am answerable to the Sindh Provincial Assembly and to no one else, not [even] to the prime minister, said the chief minister, adding that the Sindh Provincial Assembly elected me and I am answerable to them and I will answer them.
