U.S. Marshals, Sheriff s Office execute sex offender compliance operation STAFF REPORTS View Comments BOLIVAR – The Hardeman County Sheriff’s Office conducted a sex offender compliance operation, Operation Chickasaw, which was supported operationally and tactically by the United States Marshals Service and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation last week. During the operation, two teams of Hardeman County Sheriff’s Deputies and Deputy U.S. Marshals investigated 35 convicted sex offenders to insure they are following their requirements and found 25 in compliance with the sex offender registry law. Seven offenders were found to be out of compliance and three are still being investigated. James Shermaine Williams was arrested for failure to register as a sex offender.

WBBJ TV May 7, 2021 BOLIVAR, Tenn. Hardeman County Sheriff’s Office with support of the US Marshals Service and TBI conducted Operation Chickasaw. The operation spanned from May 4 to May 5, with law enforcement checking on 35 convicted sex offenders, according to US Marshals Service news release. The release says 25 were in compliance with the sex offender registry law. “Sex offender compliance operations produce many beneficial outcomes,” said US Marshal Tyreece Miller. “The Marshals Service is glad to partner with state and county agencies to help with this important service.” The release says four others were arrested for felony crimes that were uncovered during the operation.

(WMC) - A 7-year-old child is dead following a shooting in Grand Junction, Tennessee. Hardeman County Sheriff’s Office says around 4 p.m. Tuesday deputies responded to a shooting call on Pearl Road.
