Retail out-of-home provider Shopper Media Group rebrands as Shopper

Shopper Media Group has revealed its new brand platform as the out-of-home (OOH) provider rebrands simply as ‘Shopper’.
The rebrand comes as part of a renewed focus on data, digital products and technology, and the new ‘Closer to Customers’ positioning also comes with a fresh look, feel and logo.

Mumbrella Awards 2021 shortlist, Merrick Watts to host the gala event

The shortlist for the 2021 Mumbrella Awards has been announced, with The Monkeys and Special Group among the top nominations.
With 11 nominations, The Monkeys received two nods in the Mumbrella Award for Insight, TV Ad of the Year and Social Idea of the Year categories, as well as nominations in Best Use of Real-Time Marketing, Creative Agency of the Year and Ad Campaign of the Year.
Meanwhile, Special Group earned ten nominations across categories including TV Ad of the Year, Content Marketing Strategy of the Year, Social Idea of the Year, Best Use of Real-Time Marketing, and the Mumbrella Awards for Bravery, Insight and Innovation.

The Outdoor Media Association (OMA) has announced the winners in the Creative Collection competition 2021, with the most number of submissions entered in two years.

The Outdoor Media Association (OMA) has today announced the winners in the quarter one Creative Collection competition for 2021.
The competition attracted 31 submissions from OMA members including: JCDecaux, oOh!media, QMS Media and Shopper Media Group. The new category ‘Out of Home for Good’ received five entries and was the most debated as the judges explored messages that work best to drive action for government and charity campaigns.

Shopper Media Group has been acquired by specialist marketing and communications firm, Next 15 Communications Group.
The deal is for an initial consideration of £15.7m and a further deferred amount, to be paid over the next few years.
Shopper Media Group is a data-led business, based in Manchester, Liverpool and London and includes Capture Marketing, Lobster Agency and Threefold.
“SMG has been leading the way in connected commerce marketing for the past 12 years, building data-driven tools for brands and retailers to unlock real value at the point of consideration and purchase,” said Sam Knights, CEO of Shopper Media Group.
