Blotter: Fatal crashes, train vs car crash, accidental fire

LebTown City of Lebanon Train Vs. Car Accident – On Dec. 12, 2020 at 3:45 p.m., police were dispatched to a train versus car accident at the railroad crossing of North Lincoln Ave. Police learned that a 61 year old South Lebanon woman attempted to travel across the railroad gates after a westbound train had cleared the intersection on the southern RR tracks. She stated a few other vehicles also went around the gates; however, the gates were in the down position due to an eastbound train on the northern RR tracks. As she crossed the tracks, the train struck the front of her car, spinning the car sideways. The woman was not injured and the car sustained minor damage. The train stopped after impact and reported its speed to be 38 mph at the time of the accident. The Engineer and Conductor were not injured. Traffic citations will be filed against her.

(WWNY) - Seven have been charged in connection to a drug manufacturing investigation leading back to February 2020. Officials say methamphetamine and meth making materials were found at 208 West Main Street in the Village of Gouverneur during a search warrant on February 11th. Rosemary C. Moore, Logan M. Johns, Trevor L. Martin, Brian L. Friend, Dylan EJ. Miller, Desiree M. Wilmarth, and Erica J. Jackson were all charged with Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine in the 3rd Degree.

Three facing drug charges after Tri-Dent investigation

Jeremy Lannen – Photo LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office Amanda Roberson – Photo LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office   OGLESBY – Three individuals are facing drug charges after a Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team investigation on Tuesday. According to Tri-Dent, they were called to the 400 block of Florence St in Oglesby after alleged drug activity during an Illinois Department of Corrections Parole compliance check. Tri-Dent, IDOC Parole and Oglesby Police allegedly located about one gram of purported heroin, packaging material and drug paraphernalia at that location. Taken into custody and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver were 27-year-old Joshua D. Bostic, 27-year-old Jeremy R. Lannen and 30-year-old Amanda J. Roberson. They were taken to the LaSalle County Jail facing Class 2 Felony charges with bonds yet to be set.
